About Me

I'm just your average everyday traveling horseshoe salesman with a knack for yodeling, a gift of gab and aspirations of playing the guitar.

I seem to have fallin' in love with this cute little redhead who makes my life complete!

About Me
Born and raised in a small village outside of Kingston, New York. Grew up listening to the "Girl Groups of the 60s'". My first 45 was "Fingertips - Part 2" by Stevie Wonder. In my early High School years, I had a friend whose mother was a pre-school teacher who sang children's songs to her class. This was my first introduction to folk music and the Martin D-28 guitar. My friend and I became interested in the music of Bob Dylan and I remember proudly walking through the halls of Kingston High with my copy of "The Times They Are a-Changin'". Then came The Beatles and a slew of other musical influences, much like the experiences of many teenagers of my day. There was a very long lapse of time before I became enthused about picking up the guitar again. In the early 70s', I was given a copy of "6 and 12 String Guitar" by Leo Kottke and I was blown away by his finger-style picking (I called it finger-dancing at the time). In the years that followed and having listened to and studied transcriptions of Leo's music, my guitar playing has progressed to an intermediate level of, what I call, recreational musicianship. But I keep picking away at it in hopes of progressing to the next place.

About Me
Jack of all trades... master of none.
I'm a 4th generation Colorado native, descended from homesteaders on both sides.  I grew up showing and training horses for my grandparents until Uncle Sam needed me in Vietnam.
Fate didn't allow me to own horses, but I ride other people's horses now and again.   I did manage to acquire myself a .45 Colt revolver, and a Taylor guitar, which together keep me relatively content.
Then there's my wife, Carilyn.  We've been together 30 years, sing a few songs once in awhile.  You can see us playin' at: Territorial-Troupers.com
